Europe wins the Ryder Cup 16½ to 11½
It was over before it started.
Credit to the US Team for making an effort to come back on Days 2 and 3, but when the 1st day ends at 6½ to 1½, you know you’re in trouble. The USA was historically bad on Friday, but somehow managed to claw their way back to make it a somewhat interesting finish, primarily thanks to amazing play from Max Homa and Patrick ‘No Cap’ Cantlay. Unfortunately, they were no match for a much better prepared European team with consistenty down the board and phenomenal play from Viktor Hovland and Rory McIlroy. Most of the actual drama came in the parking lot, but regardless it was still a terrific weekend as the Ryder cup always is. Congratulations to Team Europe for lifting the cup, and only two more years until Bethpage. 🫡
