Listen to The Friendly Banter Podcast
Tom TJ Holley is back at the helm as the captain of The Friendly Banter Podcast. He’s joined this week by Andrew Winter to preview what to expect on the pod in 2024, where most notably we’ll be kicking off an interview series with NCAA golfers to hear behind the scenes stories from the collegiate golf circuit. Tom and Andrew also share a few of their New Year’s Resolutions and make some predictions for the world of professional golf in 2024.
Jan 11 - Jan 14 | Waialae Country Club | Honolulu, HI
The Sony Open tees off Thursday morning at Waialae Country Club just outside Honolulu. The course is a short Par 70 with a few holes on the water and palm trees on just about every hole. This is one of the few courses where accuracy really is king, and we’ll be on the lookout for some dialed approaches and tight wedge games. The field is not nearly as strong as last week in Kapalua, with none of the top 7 best players on tour competing this week, which makes for a relatively even playing field and no clear favorites. Matt Fitzpatrick, Ludvig Aberg, and Lord Tyrrell Hatton sit at the top of the odds table all at +1800. Who’s your pick to win?

Tiger Woods and Nike officially part ways
One of the most icnonic brand partnerships in the history of the world is coming to an end. It’s crazy to think that Tiger will no longer be repping the swoosh on Sundays, and we’re still waiting to find out who Tiger will sign with next, but it’s worth acknowledging how synonymous the pair have been over the past 25 years.
