Nelly Korda has won her last 4 events in a row leading up to the 1st major of the LPGA season. She’s playing her best golf in years and is the clear favorite heading into The Chevron Championship. Can she make it 5 in a row?

This run is no fluke. Here’s why: it’s first important to note that seven weeks passed between Korda’s first and second victories, and her game withstood the hiatus from competition flawlessly. Secondly, Korda has also won on an assortment of golf courses and conditions. The 25-year-old prevailed at the narrow and hilly Palos Verdes Golf Club and a firm and gusty Shadow Creek — in a match-play format nonetheless. Korda’s success has been consistent and versatile, and nothing is stopping her from maintaining this level of play.

Scottie made it clear beyond the shadow of a doubt this past weekend that his run is no fluke, winning his 2nd Masters and solidifying his place in golf history. The PGA TOUR follows up Sunday at Augusta with a quick hop and a skip to Hilton Head Island for the RBC Heritage, a signature event with a loaded field including most of the big names we just saw in Georgia. Scottie’s by far the favorite, but you have to wonder if it will be a reset week for him following a major victory.

No rest for the weary warriors from Augusta National. The PGA TOUR rolls out their fifth signature event. Approximately 69 golfers have registered and will play 72-holes of stroke play with no cut. Twenty million dollars on the line and $3.6 million for first place. The strategic Pete Dye design places a huge premium on accuracy; especially off the tee. Unlike the wider fairways of Magnolia Lane, HTGL is tree-lined, sand covered and characterized by low country waterways on almost every hole…

Seeing a major championship field take on one of the shortest tests on the PGA TOUR is so entertaining. I expect Scottie to be in the mix, but unlike last week even the shorter hitters can contend here. The card is balanced, and I especially like the ball strikers we have.
